FLORIDA WORST STATE FOR CAR CRASHES

FLORIDA WORST STATE FOR CAR CRASHES

Florida is referred to as the “Sunshine State” and it probably has nothing to do with the current status of car insurance statistics.  According to a WalletHub that was recently released, 23.8% of Florida automobile drivers did not have any automobile insurance or ignored the rules of automobile insurance in our state.  As Karl Eisenhower, WalletHub‘s managing editor, stated, “Florida has the worst combination of lots of uninsured motorists, and low-minimum requirements for drivers who do have insurance.”  This is the very reason why it is highly recommended that you purchase Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist (“U/M”) coverage, which many times comes out to only a few hundred dollars per year for tens-of-thousands of dollars in U/M coverage for your and your household.  It is better to be safe than sorry, and so do not hesitate to review your automobile insurance policy to see exactly what you are paying for.  Feel free to contact us if you have been involved in a car crash and need to know what your best options are.  If it makes Floridians feel any better, the study also found that Oklahoma, New Mexico, Mississippi, and California made up to the rest of the top-five states.
